Experienced Caregivers and CNAs — Charleston Area

Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is hiring experienced caregivers and CNAs to provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors in Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley Counties.
We help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes while maintaining their dignity. If you are compassionate, dependable, and enjoy helping seniors, we encourage you to apply.
Position Details
- Pay: $15–$17 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Location: Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley Counties, and surrounding areas
- Employment: PRN/Part-Time with flexible scheduling
- Shifts: 4–12 hours, depending on client needs and available assignments

Schedule: Days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights
Opportunities to work full-time hours may be available based on client needs and available assignments; full-time hours are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers
- Provide medication reminders
- Prepare light meals according to dietary needs
- Provide transportation to appointments, pharmacies, and stores
- Perform light housekeeping related to client care
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans and safety guidelines
- Observe and report changes in clients’ conditions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of in-home caregiving experience preferred
- Experience with Dementia or Alzheimer’s care is valuable
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
- Compassionate, dependable, respectful, and professional
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to follow care plans and remain calm in emergencies
- Willingness to complete background and drug screenings
- CPR certification and experience with equipment such as Hoyer lifts, transfer benches, and wheelchairs are preferred. Training may be available.
NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED! Experienced caregivers and qualified applicants without a CNA license are encouraged to apply.
