CAREGIVER
$14–$16 PER HOUR | SUMMERVILLE, SC | HIRING NOW
Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is looking for dependable and compassionate caregivers and CNAs to provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors in Summerville and surrounding areas.
Our caregivers help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. If you enjoy helping others, building meaningful client relationships, and taking pride in quality care, we would love to have you join our team.
POSITION DETAILS
- Pay: $14–$16 per hour based on experience and qualifications
- PRN/Part-Time with flexible scheduling
- Summerville and surrounding areas in Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston Counties
- 4–12 hour shifts based on client needs and available assignments
- Days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight opportunities
- One-on-one care in the client's home
- Full-time hours may be available depending on client needs and assignments; full-time hours are not guaranteed

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Caregivers provide practical assistance and companionship while following each client's individualized plan of care.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene
- Help with ambulation, mobility, and transfers
- Provide medication reminders
- Prepare light meals according to dietary needs
- Provide transportation to appointments, pharmacies, stores, and outings
- Complete light housekeeping related to client care
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans and health and safety guidelines
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition to the office
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- One year of professional in-home caregiving experience preferred
- CNA, PCA, HHA, or experienced caregiver background welcome
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
- Dependable transportation and ability to travel to client homes
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Compassionate, respectful, patient, and dependable
- Ability to work independently and follow individualized care plans
- Ability to remain calm in unexpected or emergency situations
- Must pass required background and drug screening
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience with equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer benches, and walkers is a plus. Training available.
CPR certification is preferred.
NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED!
